CHRRUP is a community-owned, profit for purpose organisation with a passion for helping rural business owners and creating thriving, connecting rural communities. Our mission is to connect people with the resources they need to enhance agricultural enterprises and we do by partnering with key stakeholders, delivering a wide range of projects and services and engaging with a broad range of sectors within these communities.

Based in Queensland's Central Highlands region and formed in 2001, CHRRUP has a strong track record of involvement in community engagement and planning processes, providing access to information and training, and delivering projects to support on-ground business outcomes. We are proudly a profit-for-purpose organisation which means that all revenue is reinvested back into our local community.

Purpose of Project Manager

 

The Project Manager is primarily responsible for growing CHRRUP’s established Safe Station and select newly developed Smart Station products to achieve diversification and growth targets. The role will have a focus on identifying new markets, new partnerships, and new ways to reach existing markets while continually improving the business to ensure quality, productivity, and efficiency.

​

The Project Manager must have a strong understanding of the drivers to support business growth in a regional setting and an agricultural target market. 

​

Roles and responsibilities

  1. Develop growth strategies, business proposals and plans and lead the implementation of these plans through agreed initiatives

  2. Expand the client base and range of products and services while ensuring value and quality

  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships and work with stakeholders and clients

  4. Develop and coordinate the delivery of targeted marketing and promotional campaigns

  5. Develop and lead a team of delivery partners across Queensland

  6. Conduct accurate and timely monitoring, evaluation and reporting processes to assess progress, identify successes, and areas for improvement

  7. Identify, research and execute business opportunities and viable income streams

Qualifications and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications are desirable, ideally in business, marketing, finance, or economics

  • Experience in regional business and/or in the agricultural sector

  • Experience in management, sales, and leadership is desirable

​

Other Requirements

  • Experience in using a range of IT and modern software applications

  • Possession of a current driver’s license

  • Willingness to travel and spend night away from the home base to deliver outcomes, attend meetings, conferences and training.

Purpose of Business Support Officer

​

The Business Support Officer is responsible for supporting the effective operation of the business by delivering a wide range of administrative support and managing the day to day operations of the office environment. 

​

Roles and Responsibilities

​

In the role of Business Support Officer, you will:

  1. Develop, implement and maintain effective administrative systems, including those relating to the management of facilities/assets, client management and business processes. 

  2. Manage the integration and ongoing use of IT systems including Office365 and CRM to support efficient and effective business systems

  3. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative systems to deliver a timely and quality service

  4. Support the team to deliver high quality programs and products to landholders and other clients in a timely manner

  5. Ensure meeting areas, offices and staff amenities are well managed

  6. Perform general office administrative tasks including (but not limited to) mail, phones and reception

  7. Assist with event coordination and marketing initiatives 

  8. Support the Executive Officer, Board and Committees of CHRRUP as required

 

Tasks

  1. Successfully manage the daily operations of the organisation through strong time management and systems and processes

  2. Clear, concise and professional spoken and written communication with stakeholders and staff

​

Conditions

  • The position is based in Emerald however work may be undertaken from other locations

  • You must have a current Australian driver’s licence.

  • Travel away from home for up to several days may be required.

  • The position operates on a 38-hour week with flexible hours to reflect the needs of the position.

  • Annual leave accrues at the rate of four weeks per year (pro-rata). 

  • Superannuation will be paid at 11% of your salary into your nominated Superannuation fund

  • A mobile phone allowance is provided.

Safe Station Delivery Partner!

​

In this role you will be responsible for delivering CHRRUP’s customized WHS Service, Safe Station. The role involves visiting producers to assess processes and establish a comprehensive safety system to assist with operational compliance.
